The gravitational interaction is being tested over a vast range of length scales and with an impressive array of different methods. The hope is to uncover new physic and constrain existing models, in order to address long standing open problems related to gravity, such us the quantum gravity problem, the dark matter problem, the accelerated expansion of universe, etc. However, extracting information from the data and making it readily accessible to phenomenologists and theorists, so that it can further inform model building, is a significant challenge. Moreover, data-driven research in gravitation requires much stronger links between theorists and experimentalists and between different research communities interested in gravitation, such as astrophysics, cosmology, particle theory, etc. The main goal of this workshop is to bring together leading researchers from these different communities and discuss the current status and the future prospects of testing gravity.
This workshop is part of the Gravity Data Group initiation of the EU COST action “Gravitational Waves, black holes, and fundamental physics”. The overarching goal of the initiative is to collect and comprehensively present all constraints on gravitation.
