Theoretical Aspects of Astroparticle Physics, Cosmology and Gravitation - 2020

Mar 09, 2020 - Mar 20, 2020

Apply (deadline: Jan 11, 2020 )

Abstract
Astroparticle Physics, Cosmology and Gravitation are nowadays very active areas of research. The School aims at providing robust and detailed introductions on the basic theoretical concepts and tools needed for performing research in these fields. Gravitational waves of astrophysical and cosmological origin, neutrino physics and astronomy, dark matter and dark energy, galactic and extra-galactic cosmic rays and gamma-rays will be some among the main topics. The lecturers are selected among the best experts of our international communities.

Topics
Sterile neutrinos in physics, astrophysics, cosmology - Lecturer: Carlo Giunti (University of Turin)

Cosmic rays and multimessenger astronomy - Lecturer: Markus Ahlers (Niels Bohr Institute, Copenhagen)

Particle dark matter: WIMPs, axions and axion like particles - Lecturer: Laura Covi (Georg-August University Goettingen)

Inflation and primordial black holes - Lecturer: Chris Byrnes (University of Sussex)

Organizers
N. Bartolo (Padova), N. Fornengo (Torino), D. Grasso (Pisa), L. Gualtieri (Roma 1), E. Lisi (Bari) G. Miele (Napoli)
