The selection of 12 PhD positions in Astrophysics at Bologna University is now open.
Complete application must be received by May 21, 2020. The student selection will be performed in May-June 2020. The selected students will start their activity on November 1st, 2020.

= Available Projects
The Department of Physics and Astronomy (DIFA) of the University of Bologna and the Italian National Institute for Astrophysics (INAF) (with the participation of the Cherenkov Telescope Array Observatory, CTAO) invite applications for the cycle 36 of the PhD Course in Astrophysics at the University of Bologna.
The PhD program consists of research activity under the supervision of advisors.
12 PhD positions are available for the XXXVI cycle (2020-2021). The subjects of the PhD theses are in the various research areas of Astrophysics and Cosmology. These include: Stars; Stellar evolution; Stellar populations; Chemistry and Dynamics of stellar systems; Galaxy evolution and dynamics; Chemistry of Galaxies and Interstellar Medium; Large-Scale Structure and Cosmology; Radio-astronomy; High-Energy Astrophysics; Astronomical Technology.

Three positions are funded by INAF on the following projects:
