Registrations for this year's Summer School of Particle and
Astroparticle Physics of Annecy-le-Vieux are now open.

The goal of the school is to introduce Particle Physics and
Astroparticle Physics to 3rd and 4th year physics students while at
the same time touching on the latest results and challenges in these
fields. For about a week, students will be immersed in an
international research atmosphere, and will be able to spend time and
discuss at length with scientists working in the field. There will be
lectures on both the theoretical and the experimental sides of LHC
Physics, Neutrinos, Flavour Physics, Gravitational waves, and Astroparticle
Physics (dark matter and cosmic rays), as well as a Computation Tools
hands-on
session and a Q/A session.

A maximum of 30 students will be admitted. Accommodation and lunches
will be provided for free during the length of the school.
Participants (or their universities) are expected to cover the costs of
travel and
of 5/6 dinners. Nevertheless, a few travel grants are available.

The School takes place in Annecy, in the French Alps, from July 16th to
July 23th.

  • Registration closes on MAY 8TH 2020*

Please note that, due to the coronavirus outbreak this year,
unfortunately is a bit special.
Even though we hope it will be not the case, it might be that the
situation will be still difficult in Summer.
Therefore, the final decision whether the School can be held or not will
be taken at the end of May.
